| The release date is still more than a month away, but thanks to System Of A Down Live, you can get the first review of Serj Tankian's new poetry book Glaring Through Oblivion. Like Cool Gardens, Serj's first poetry book, you'll recognize several lines that he's used in his music and some of the poems are exactly the same as the songs. He included several of the poems previously released in the limited edition 2CD version of Elect The Dead ("Deaf Nation", "Salivation", "Time", "Undying Form", "Civilization", "Condemned", "Praying For Peace", and "Bottled Water"). There is one titled "Down With The System", it is similar to what's on the back of the first System Of A Down album and ends with "Open your eyes/Open your mouths/Close your hands/And make a fist/Down with the System!" And there is another poem titled "The Hand" revolving around John Heartfield's poster "The Hand Has 5 Fingers" which was used for the cover of System Of A Down's debut album. The artwork by Roger Kupelian is great and Sako Shahinian, who illustrated Cool Gardens, worked on this book as well.
